Cambridge Stroke & Rehabilitation Club (Non affiliated)

Providing friendship and support for those who have suffered a stroke.

The Cambridge Stroke & Rehabilitation Club meets every Thursdays from 10am to 1-2pm at the Union Parish Church Hall corner Queen and Bryce Streets, Cambridge.  Subscription fees are:  $10.00 each payable in April of each year.  Cost of meetings is $5.00 which helps toward costs of the morning tea, lunch and the physio.

The day starts @ 10am with morning tea and bickies, at 10.30am or thereabouts we may have a speaker or a quiz or some other entertainment.  At around 11.15am the physio will take everyone through an exercise half hour to three quarters of an hour.

At 12pm lunch will be served, this consists of soup, main and a pudding.  Once a month, the group will have a day out on the wheelchair bus, which has been arranged by one of the volunteer helpers.  Where ever the trip may go is decided by everyone at the monthly meeting (3rd Thursday).

We have no separate committee that makes the decisions. Each and every member of the club is a committee decision making person.

For more information, please phone Kiri (8275546) Betty (8237609) Dorothy (8277364) or June (8275655).
