Take alarm customer Geoff for example.

Geoff suffers from Huntington’s disease. His health began to deteriorate to the point that his wife Jan was considering leaving her job to be with him full time. They heard about Bupa Personal Medical Alarms, and our flexible service.

Rather than only having the option of an ambulance, Geoff can request precisely the help he needs. If he just needs Jan to come home from work and help him up, the alarm monitoring centre, contacted by pressing the alarm button, will call her. For Jan, this is a huge weight off her shoulders.

Geoff became far more comfortable about calling for help, once he understood that an ambulance would not automatically be sent. Now Jan and Geoff would not be without the alarm. It has given Geoff a new found sense of independence. For Jan the alarm is a real source of comfort, knowing that Geoff can have the help he needs at the touch of a button.
